These Prices Include:

  • Retreat tuition

  • Accommodation at Hotel Sparsa: 10 nights arriving January 14th, and departing January 24th, in standard rooms.

  • Meals: all meals included from the 15th till 23th, plus dinner the arrival day on the 14th and breakfast the departure day on the 24st. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. The meals of the extra days will be paid directly at the hotel. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

  • All prices are tax included

  • Other hotel services will be paid directly to the hotel.

  • If the Indian Rupee appreciates more than 5% against the US dollar, prices in US dollars will be adjusted and we will inform everyone accordingly.

Prices Do Not Include:

Air Transportation: from Chennai airport to Sparsa Hotel on the arrival day or the departure day will be arranged and paid individually.  Shanti Kumar, from Shanti Travels, will coordinate the transportation. Retreat participants will need to contact him directly, as soon as possible, providing the Airline arrival/Departure details (or Chennai hotel details), and if you are travelling by yourself or with others in the same flight. The distance from Chennai Airport to Sparsa Hotel in Tiru is approximately 4 hours drive.

Due to the long drive between Chennai and Tiru, if your plane arrives after 4pm we advise that you spend the night near the airport.

We recommend the TRIDENT Hotel which is about 10 min from the airport. They can pick you up at the airport.

The HILTON hotel is about 12 min from the airport.

Local Transportation: Shanti Kumar, from Shanti Travels, will coordinate the transportation on an individual basis. Retreat participants will need to contact him directly, as soon as possible, providing the Airline arrival/Departure details (or Chennai hotel details), and if you are travelling by yourself or with others in the same flight.

  • For a small car (fits 2 people), the price to go to Chennai airport or Chennai Hotel to Hotel Sparsa in Tiru, Rs 3900 (approximately $50). Chennai city pick up, Rs 4300. All cars have AC included.

  • For a larger car (SUV for 3 or 4 people), the price is Rs 6800 (approximately $80). All cars have AC included.

If you wish, you can pay them cash $USD 100, and he will exchange it for aproximately Rs 8200. This will cover the transportation expenses and the cost of some drinks/food on the way to Tiru.

Important to Note:

  • This retreat is by invitation only and you must be on our guest list to attend.

  • The retreat venue is HOTEL SPARSA located at 34, Athiyanthal Village, Chengam Road, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu 606603

  • It will not be possible to join retreat later than the morning of January 15th or leave before the evening of January 23rd, 2024. 

  • Please be aware that there is no availability in this hotel after the 25th. We can suggest alternative accommodation options if you wish to come earlier or stay beyond these dates.

  • We recommend you fly into Chennai, India (Airport Code: MAA) airport which is about 4 hours drive to the retreat location. You can also consider flying into Bengaluru (BLR), which may have less expensive flight options. Bengaluru is approximately 5 hours by taxi to Tiru.

  • You will need a passport that is currently valid for at least 6 months, and a travel visa (tourist visa) to enter the country.

Retreat Preparations

It will not be possible to join retreat later than the morning of January 15th or leave before the evening of January 23rd, 2024. 

If you do arrive early, please do not exhaust yourself, and we suggest that you NOT try to see “Spiritual India” beforehand. Please rest in a state of prayer and intention in preparation for retreat.

Please be clear that we will not see much of India during retreat. This is not a tour of South India. That said, you will have plenty of opportunity to be with and on the sacred mountain, Arunachala.  This is, after all, one of THE sacred sites, one of the THE portals of Light, on the earth plane.

If you would like to do some site seeing or shopping, you may choose to stay a little longer after retreat.  

Retreat itself is a time of deep rest in the Grace of the Spirit, and it is also true that opening your system to being able to hold much more Light is a profound adjustment that involves foundational change, and having plenty of time to rest is the way to integrate this life-changing process of healing and illumination.
